Gunmen believed to be bandits have reportedly attacked the Chikakore area of Kubwa in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), abducting a man, his wife, son, and two others.
According to a local resident, approximately 30 armed individuals equipped with AK-47 rifles invaded the community around midnight on Monday, targeting the residence of Adefija Micheal Akinropo, who was taken along with his wife, son, and elder brother.
DAILY TRUST quoted the resident, who is familiar with the victims, to have reported that the assailants subsequently moved to a nearby poultry farm, where they kidnapped another man and injured his wife.
He noted that police officers from the Byazin police station had arrived at the scene, but the kidnappers have not yet reached out to the victims’ families.
