Embattled Nigerian actor, Baba Ijesha has been granted bail in the sum of two million naira and two sureties by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Special Offences Court.
The judge on Thursday ordered that one of the sureties be a blood relative of the defendant and the other, a lawyer.
Recall that Baba IIjesha is facing a six-count charge bordering on the indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault by penetration
Two Senior Advocates of Nigeria and 17 other lawyers reportedly appeared in Baba Ijesha defence while The Lagos State Director of Public Prosecution, Olayinka Adeyemi and four other prosecutors appeared for Lagos State.
Stand up comedian, Adekola Adekanya, aka Princess, the foster mother of the molested minor also was present in the court.
Yomi Fabiyi who has been agitating for the release of his colleague and other interested parties in the matter were also present in the court.
