Popular Yoruba actor Olanrewaju James, popularly known as, Baba Ijesha arrested by police for alleged molestation of a 14year old girl has been granted bail over health issues, DAILY GIST is reporting.
His lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana, confirmed the development in a statement on Monday.
He noted that Baba Ijesha will soon be released as they are currently working to perfect the bail.

Ogunlana had urged the police to release his client on bail, adding that Baba Ijesha’s colleague Yomi Fabiyi is ready to stand surety for him.
Confirming the development on Monday, Ogunlana said: “He has been granted bail about one hour ago. We are working to perfect the bail. He was granted bail on health grounds.
“He has not been released. He will be released after his bail conditions have been met.”
DAILY GIST gathered that the bail is coming after magistrates went round police stations in Lagos state and gave hearings to those in custody.
The Lagos State commissioner of police had declared that Baba Ijesha will not be released from police custody until the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) calls off its nationwide strike.
The commissioner who stated this in reaction to Yomi Fabiyi’s protest added that the decision to keep him in custody is based on legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions in the state Ministry of Justice.
