Students under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), have shutdown the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos on Monday over the lingering strike embarked upon by the academic staff union of universities, ASUU
This is coming even despite assurance by the Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila to intervene over the lingering strike
The students’ planned mass action is in continuation of their protest against the ongoing industrial action.
The students gathered in their numbers amid heavy security presence to show thier grievances on Monday.
The road leading to the airport have been blocked by the students who are seen with various placards calling on the federal government and the striking union to call off the lingering strike.
