The All Progressive Congress, APC has terminated the appointment of the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma as the chairman of Edo state Governorship Primary election committee.
This development is coming in the aftermath of a crisis currently rocking the party in the state over the gubernatorial primary election.
DAILY GIST reports that more than one individual had emerged as candidates in the just-concluded primaries headed by Uzodinma.
Following the development, the party declared the primary election inconclusive.
The National Working Committee of the party stated that it will hold new election in the state on Thursday 22nd of February, 2024.
In an amended list released by the party’s National Organizing Secretary, H.E Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR, the committee will now be chaired by the Governor of Cross Rivers state Bassey Otu, while Alh. Rabiu Suleiman will serve as Secretary.
The Party also announced the appointment of Barr. C. C. Udenwa as the chairman Appeals committee.
