The ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has banned the activities of NURTW indefinitely following several bloody clashes among the members.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Special Duties and Strategy, Dr Doyin Odebowale disclosed this in a statement made available to Journalists

He also ordered the NURTW members to immediately vacate all motor parks across the state.

DAILY GIST had earlier reported how members of the union clashed on Tuesday morning leaving one person dead and many injured.

The government described the clash as unruly and uncultured behaviour of the union leaders which resulted in violent attacks on members and innocent citizens.

The government however clarified that the indefinite suspension did not affect Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria who comported themselves in a peaceful manner.
