Ondo State governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has nominated a new deputy governor on Wednesday
The governor has announced former Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA), Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami, as the deputy governor of the state.
The nomination of Adelami is coming hours after the state governor dissolved the State Executive Council (SEC) on Wednesday.
The governor took over the reins of leadership in the state following the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
DAILY GIST recalls that Akeredolu died on December 27, 2023, at a German hospital following a protracted illness.
According to his family, Akeredolu’s burial arrangements would commence from February 15 to February. 25 in Ibadan, Akure and Owo.
