RCCG General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye’s son, Leke Adeboye, has expressed his objections after the church launched an online dating site.
RCCG recently had announced that it has launched a dating site for mature singles, DAILY GIST reports.
It noted that the site ‘redeemersconnect.org’ is exclusively for matured single that are christians
The site was opened after the shepherd of the parish, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, charged singles to interact to make life partner decisions.
Iluyomade stressed that the platform will connect men and women, and added that connected people should do their due diligence.
The disclaimer reads: “Connectnow is a Christian singles platform where men and women meet to prepare for courtship and marriage.
This website, its content (including any information provided by registrants), and activities of Connectnow is for the purpose of connecting for courtship and marriage only and is not intended to replace or serve as a substitute for any due diligence/background checks to be conducted by the registrants prior to connecting.
“Every registrant must conduct his or her own independent background check before connecting with another registrant on this platform.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish makes no representations or warranties and expressly disclaims any and all liability concerning any damages sustained by any registrant as a result of connecting with anyone on this platform.”
He further stated that when a single lady or young man registers on the site, the information would still have to be processed before approval.
However just only about 24 hours after the announcement,
Adeboye took to Instagram to reveal what he thinks about it.
He shared photos of couples who met the “old fashioned way”.
In the caption for each couple’s post, Leke wrote: “Seeds connecting with seeds. We don’t need a dating app! We old fashion. We use prayer and holy spirit to find each other
