According to the final list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) have no governorship candidates for the 2023 elections.
The commission released names of 13 political parties and the candidates in the final list on Tuesday.
In the list seen by DAILY GIST on Tuesday, the PDP appeared on the list as number 21, but names of both the governorship candidate and the running mate were missing.
The commission cited “court order” as a reason for the omission on the final list.
It could be recalled that a federal high court sitting in Abeokuta, decided a suit case filed by the three members of PDP, and nullified all the primaries conducted by the PDP in the state.
