Afeez Balogun has reportedly supported the ongoing APC membership registration in Ogun state with over 1million donation, DAILY GIST reports.
Recall the All Progress Congress (APC) at the national level had earlier announced the commencement of membership registration across the 36 states in the country.
In his bid to ensure a smooth running and effective party membership registration, a Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Dapo Abiodun, Hon. Afeez Balogun has donated over one million naira to the ongoing APC membership registration/revalidation.
Balogun who is also a political leader in Abeokuta South local government made this donation to all 289 polling units in the local government.
A sum of 5,000 was given to each polling units to serve as support to those party faithfuls who are at the forefront of registering the new members and revalidating into the APC.
The five thousand Naira each was distributed at the 289 polling units in Abeokuta South totally #1,445,000 (One million, four hundred and fifty five thousand Naira).
Balogun who is known for his philanthropic gestures however promised to do more in supporting party faithfuls and building the party in Abeokuta south.
He also urged people living within the local government to come and register with the APC towards building the state together.
