Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has backed the adoption of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, by the opposition coalition
This is as he said it is a welcome development and good for democracy, and will prevent Nigeria from becoming a one-party state.
Gbajabiamila made this statement while addressing newsmen after casting his ballots in the Lagos State local government elections in Surulere on Saturday.
“It’s a welcome development with the coalition. It’s not the first time we are seeing this. It’s a welcome development. In every democracy, we must have some level of opposition otherwise we’ll run into a one-party state. But I’m not sure where it would go,” he said.
