The Oyo Ti Bayo De Vanguard Initiative, under the leadership of Chief Junaid, has reaffirmed its unwavering support and loyalty to the Minister of Power, Chief Abdulwaheed Adebayo Adelabu and his visionary leadership in Oyo State.
This was contained in a statement signed by the initiative Convener and made available to DAILY GIST on Sunday.
The statement said recent reports suggesting internal rifts, betrayal, or lack of cohesion within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State are false, misleading, and should be disregarded.
The group categorically stated that it remains fully aligned with Chief Adelabu’s leadership and the values he represents.
The statement reads: “We remain solidly and unwaveringly committed to Chief Adelabu’s leadership and vision for Oyo State,” Chief Junaid stated. “His administration has brought unprecedented progress, peace, and inclusiveness to our dear state. We are proud to be part of this transformative journey.”
Chief Adelabu’s performance across Oyo’s three senatorial districts, especially in power and infrastructure, continues to reflect the core tenets of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. His developmental strides, people-focused policies, and inclusive approach to governance have positioned him as a model leader within and beyond the party.
“Let me reiterate that any narrative suggesting otherwise is baseless. We urge all our followers, supporters, and political associates to stand with Adelabu, support Adelabu, speak for Adelabu, and work for Adelabu,” Chief Junaid added.
Adelabu’s reputation as a professional, silent philanthropist, and visionary continues to draw respect from both the youth and elders. His transparent, strategic, and compassionate leadership style sets a high standard in Nigerian politics.
While we acknowledge internal challenges that may exist within certain segments of the APC, particularly during the last primary elections in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, we remain confident that unity and purpose will prevail. We call on all party leaders and stakeholders to close ranks and align behind the common goal of electoral success in 2027.
“By God’s grace, 2027 will be a block vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Chief Adelabu,” a senior member of the Initiative concluded.
As we look ahead, we reaffirm our commitment to the principles of loyalty, discipline, and effective leadership that define our movement.
