The lawmaker representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele is under heavy fire from Ekiti Solidarity Forum (ESF) for his decision to back the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu over Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi in APC presidential primary election.
Senator Bamidele in a chat with NAN has declared his support for Tinubu over other South West aspirants.
ESF in a statement signed by their coordinator, Mr. Ojo Ajibola, said it is betrayal from MOB not to support Fayemi who supported his senatorial election in 2019 despite all odds against him.
The group recalls how Fayemi secured the APC Ekiti Central Senatorial ticket for him when he was in a hospital bed.
ESF said it was Governor Fayemi that helped MOB launch back his political career in Ekiti after his 2014 treacherous act that made APC lose the governorship election.
The group wonders why MOB will not repay Fayemi’s goodness towards him by supporting his presidential bid.
ESF charges Ekiti APC stakeholders not to give MOB the returned ticket to Senate so that he will not continue with the betrayal policy he has been known for.
