Local security operatives have allegedly arrested a female student of federal polytechnic, Oko in Anambra state for allegedly not wearing bra.
The student, according to a post published online was arrested at the entrance of the school gate.
The post was re-published by a user, @Pep_Boxx on X, formerly Twitter.
The development comes following an alleged directive by the Anambra state governor, Charles Soludo that women not wearing bra in public should be arrested.
The post reads: “Good morning bro Uche, bro SOLUDO securities are now doing too much in our beloved state Anambra, imagine they are standing in front of school gate to harass our young girls that are coming back from school.
Yesterday they stop my sister at the gate of federal poly oko when she was coming back from school because she didn’t wear bra and they detained her for about 4 hours before they free her
She also tell me that last week they stop her friend when she was coming out of school gate in Federal poly oko too and they detained her for about 3 hours and when they free her one of the security collected her phone number and later in the evening he was calling her to come to hotel and meet him
My question now is what is state security doing in school gate waiting for students who didn’t wear bra doesn’t it mean that there’s no more criminals in Anambra?”
Officials in Anambra state were yet to react to the alleged incident as of the time of publishing this report.
