A fresh report reaching DAILY GIST has shown that the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) Data Processing center office in Kano has been gutted by Fire.
The fire outbreak reportedly burnt laptop computers, desktops and the entire building.
DAILY GIST gathered that the Kano fire fighters have already stormed the incident scene and were able to control the outbreak.
One of the staff in the commission disclosed that the fire incident started following the fluctuations of electricity power voltage which abruptly resulted in the blasting of some air conditioners at the centre.
“In the data centre are laptops, batteries and other related gadgets for data processing activities,”the staff said.
They added that close to the data centre is a box containing card readers but they were not affected.
