A fresh report reaching DAILY GIST has revealed that some unknown Gunmen have burnt down a police station in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
It was gathered that the Gunmen men overpowered the police officers on duty at the station and freed some suspected criminals in detention.
DAILY GIST however could not ascertained as at the time of filling this report if any life was lost during the attack
Gunmen across the country have been targeting police stations in their recent attacks
On Friday, the Anambra Police Command deterred an attack on a Police station in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
However hours later, a bus conveying suspects to the court, still in Ekwulobia was attacked while a prison official was shot dead and the suspects were freed.
Twenty-four hours before that incident, policemen and naval officers were killed in different locations across the state.
An armed gang gunned down three policemen at Neni junction in Anaocha LGA of the state, while their vehicle was set ablaze, while the three Naval officers were shot dead at Awkuzu, in Oyi LGA.
