Some hoodlums suspected to be Gunmen have again Attack a police station in imo state in the early hours of Thursday.
The fresh attack is coming just few days after some yet to be Identified gunmen attack a police station and correctional center in owerri area of imo state where over 2500 prisoners and criminals were reportedly freed.
Although the former IGP, Muhammed Adamu during his visit at the scene identified the attackers as members of IPOB/ESN, However no suspect has been arrested over the attack as at the time of filling this report.
It was gathered that the gunmen on Thursday stormed the Mbieri Divisional Police Headquarters situated in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of imo state, over power the police officials on duty and free some criminal suspects
The gunmen also took away the phones belonging to suspects and the police operatives at the Division.
DAILY GIST also gathered that the Gunmen kidnapped one police officer and injured two others during the attack
The police command in imo confirmed the fresh attack but no explicit details was given as at the time of publishing this report.
