Members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) who were abducted in Kaduna state have regained their freedom from the kidnapers den, DAILY GIST reports
Recall that the eight RCCG members were abducted on the Kachia-Kafanchan highway last Friday while travelling in the church’s bus.
RCCG’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye confirmed their release on Thursday afternoon.
Adeboye though didn’t give details of how the kidnapped members regained their freedom, it was gathered that they have been taken to the hospital for checkups and tests.
Adeboye, through his official Twitter handle said: “Today I got the exciting news that our brethren who were in captivity of kidnappers have all been released and taken to the Hospital for checkup and tests. Glory be to Jesus.
Recall that the RCCG members, Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna, were abducted on March 26 near Doka along the Kachia-Kafanchan Road, on their way to a church programme.
The kidnappers reportedly asked for N50m ransom to release the church members
DAILY GIST however could not immediately confirmed the exact amount that was paid for their release as at the time of publishing this report.
